In today's webcast, I presented SilverLight 1.0 material about how to build a SilverLight app from scratch using just a text editor. We built up the application to include an html file, some javascript include files, and a .xaml file. We reviewed last week's material, addressed some student questions, and reviewed several of the static content controls that can be created. We also took a look at some of the Community Gallery 1.0 controls hosted on www.silverlight.net including the MineSweeper application and a sliding puzzle application. I had a lot better luck using the Webex product after attending a seminar on how to leverage many of its features, such as Chat and File Transfer. My slides can be downloaded here . Next week we will look at Javascript events (such as mouse clicks, animation, and how to host SL content in an ASP .Net control)
